Discover The city of Luxor from Hurghada

Luxor consists of three parts: The city of Luxor on the east bank of the Nile, the temple district of Karnak, and Thebes on the west bank of the Nile. The city is rich in historical witnesses of a past high culture. For centuries Thebes was the most distinguished residence and most powerful city of the Orient.

Thebes, like all cities of ancient Egypt, was divided into the realm of the dead on the west bank and the realm of the living on the east bank. Luxor was known among the Greeks as “hundred-gated Thebes”.

Luxor is also the departure point of the Nile cruises.
