Itinerary

Pick up from the hotel in Cairo. Transfer by private vehicle to El Fayoum which is 95 km. Arrive at El Fayoum, transfer to visit Karanis, where the ruins of the ancient city are.

This city contains a number of monuments dating back to Roman, Coptic, and newly Islamic times. Enjoy a visit to Lake Qarun where you can see different types of birds. This lake is considered the oldest natural lake in the whole world and the third longest lake in Egypt.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Then transfer to the Palace of Qaroun, which is 55 km northwest of El Fayoum. It houses well-preserved temples.

Then you will go to Wadi El Rayan, designated as a protected area in 1989. Wadi El Rayan is a natural area located in the western desert and 42 m below sea level. It also has two lakes connected by the only waterfalls in Egypt, formed in 1970 by an overflow of drainage of water from the fields in the Fayoum.

At the end of the day, transfer back to the hotel in Cairo.
