The breathtaking White Desert in Egypt

It is estimated that the population grew by about half a million inhabitants during that period. Recently, archaeological finds have found a necropolis of about 10,000 mummies, which testifies that the oasis had to be quite prosperous and of considerable size. Despite this, Bahariyya today does not offer any particular attractions to its visitors. Bir Al Ghaba and the White Desert
Bir Al Ghaba is located about 12 kilometers northeast of Bawiti, in a pleasant and cool green area. Most visitors reach this site for direct access to the desert. Many safaris have as their classic destination the Black Desert combined with the White Desert, both of which are nearby.
The Black Desert is characterized by a rather eccentric landscape, where the golden sand is tinged with black veins due to volcanic rock erosion. The White Desert, on the other hand, is characterized by a surreal rocky landscape that wind and sand have shaped, giving it a bright white color that shines in the daylight and reflects the moonlight on full moon nights.
The latter, as already mentioned, is not only one of the most beautiful places in Egypt, but also internationally. Few places in the world are so beautiful and unique. It is a park that extends 45 km north of the Farafra Oasis. The characteristic color is given by chalk rock formations, created as a result of sandstorms.
